Taking the temperature

Our 2024 survey explores the views of UK businesses

Zooming in: regional insights

Our goal is to build strong, long-term relationships with our clients across the UK, taking the time to really understand your business, your challenges and ambitions. This allows our teams to support you with the right solutions to help your business thrive and grow.

To delve deeper into the opportunities and challenges in an ever-changing economic landscape, we’ve partnered with The Times to take the temperature of businesses across the nation. Together, we’ve surveyed 1,000 senior business leaders in the UK to explore their growth priorities and key challenges.*

More than half of the business leaders questioned across the UK are confident they’ll be able to grow their business, and a similar number expect to expand over the next 12 months. Developing talent is seen as a top priority for growth for survey respondents, followed by embracing digital transformation. Businesses across the nation face a variety of challenges, with increased costs and concerns about recruiting and retaining staff high on the list. To offer your business the most valuable insights, we’ve explored our survey findings at a local level across the UK. Learn more about what’s happening in your region.

Businesses have shown remarkable resilience over the past few years, and our recent research reveals that UK firms are generally optimistic about future growth. Using our local knowledge and insights, our regional teams are committed to helping you see the big picture and providing the right expertise when your business needs it most.
